Red dot sights on handguns are very popular for self-defense and competition.

In this article, I take a look at one of the latest: the Trijicon RMRcc.

The RMRcc is a micro-red dot sight that seemscustom-designed for the Springfield Hellcat.

These guns allow for the quick mounting of all of thebest micro red dot sightson the market.

But what if you have a standard Hellcat pistol without the OSP system for mounting an optic?

Are there any options out there?

RMRcc stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex for Concealed Carry.

It is a downsized version of its respectedRMR red dotand one designed to fit on smaller CCW pistols.

Throughout this review, I put the RMRcc through many stress tests.

I shot all kinds ofheavy-recoiling +P ammothrough the gun.

Additionally, I made numerous tactical reloads using one hand and the optic to work the slide.

RMRcc Battery Life

Another benefit to the RMRcc that Hellcat owners will love is battery life.

With a common 2032 button battery, the Trijicon RMRcc gives you up to 4 years of runtime.

Throughout the testing of this optic, the dot was bright and showed no signs of dimming.

For me, the 2032 battery is not very expensive less than $5 at a local store.
