If youre in the market to buy a pistol suppressor, be sure to read on.
The Details
I can attest to this quickly becoming one of my favorite suppressors.
Possibly my favorite feature of the Banish 45 is the configurable length.
Silencer Central’s Banish 45 suppressor uses a modular design that is suited for use on handguns and pistol caliber carbines.
Fully assembled, the Banish 45 measures 8.6 in length.
But when removing the extension, the suppressor measures only 6.7.
For me, modularity is king.
The author fully tested the Banish 45 sound suppressor, including time on the range with his XD-M Elite pistol.
On a pistol-caliber carbine like theSpringfield Armory SAINT Victor 9mm Carbine, I may want the full length.
The Banish 45 is a multi-caliber suppressor.
To use the Banish 45 on different platforms, you simply change out the piston inside the suppressor.
This photo of a disassembled Banish 45 shows the modularity of the suppressor. Owners will need to match the piston to the platform.
The recoil was extremely minimal.
The reduction in sound using the Remington Subsonic 147-gr.
9mm was simply lovely.
As with any firearm or gun accessory, the best way to evaluate it is through actual use. The author mounted the Banish 45 to his XD-M Elite and hit the range.
In fact, I never even thought about the gas blowback during my time with the Banish 45.
I also noticed that the Banish 45 did a great job of cooling and dissipating heat.
After a full mag with some rapid fire, the suppressor was still cool enough to remove without gloves.
For the range testing part of the review, the author used Remington’s Subsonic line of ammunition.
That is certainly a welcome feature if youve shot enough suppressors in your life.
Ive got a few rifle bags with burn marks as proof.
I think the Banish 45 will work perfectly for that set-up.
Purchasing a suppressor can be a daunting, complicated process. Silencer Central makes the process easier, and the Banish 45 proved worth the effort.
I cant speak highly enough about the modularity of the Banish series of suppressors.
