SHOT Show 2025 was one for the books for me.
Being my eighth SHOT Show, I already knew what to expect.
The best part of my job is that I get to share those products with you.
The Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show, better known as the SHOT Show, is always a wealth of new firearms, tactical and survival gear. Here is a look at the author’s top picks of new products introduced for 2025.
They feature a robust build and removable side shields, which are ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated to withstand high-velocity impacts.
The lenses offer 100% UVA/UVB protection with no distortion for perfect clarity.
The frames are extremely lightweight and feature dual-injected rubber temples for comfort.

All these features make them ideal, in my opinion, for outdoor adventures or casual everyday wear.
They can even be set up for prescriptions.
Even so, the new Vudu 3-932 SFP is simply on another level, in my opinion.
EOTECH’s new scope offers a 3-9x magnification range in an incredibly compact size. The second focal plane scope works well with a red dot sight for close range shots. Image: EOTech
The super-short second-focal-plane riflescope might just be the perfect optic for a defensive rifle.
The housing is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum to be compact, lightweight and incredibly durable.
This second focal plane design is only 6.8 in length and weighs in at 16 oz.
Closed emitter red dot sights seem to be increasing in popularity. Meprolight’s new MPO Pro-S is a great example of the durability offered by this optic type. Image: Meprolight
The SFP is fog, water and shock resistant which helps to make it ready for any situation.
The capped turrets offer 14 MOA adjustments.
EOTech opted for an illuminated reticle in this scope.
Benchmade’s SOCP Dagger Combo includes a matched training tool with a defensive blade. This offers owners the ability to enhance safe training. Image: Benchmade
An integrated base is part of the scopes design.

The Meprolight MPO Pro-S enhances precision and accuracy across multiple firearm styles and calibers.

Custom fitting earplugs can make a huge difference in terms of comfort and hearing protection. The Decibullz Custom Molded earplugs allow you to fit your own at home. Image: Decibullz
The optic is also rated as IP67 against dust and water intrusion.
This means it can be submerged to one meter for 30 minutes and still work.
It is certainly enough protection for the rigors of concealed carry and law enforcement use.
Your boots can make a huge difference. From a day on the shooting range, a weekend in the woods or 12-hour patrols in the city, 5.11 boots are a great option. Image: 5.11

This tough interior leads to fluid blade movement within a stylish titanium and steel scaled housing.
I was particularly intrigued by their Custom Molded Percussive Shooting Filter Earplugs.
At only $75, they really got my attention.
The boots also feature the famous 5.11 Tactical A.T.L.A.S.
Elite footbed that provides a plush layer while the A/T support plate distributes your weight evenly.
These boots will be perfect on a wet range, at work, on duty or hunting.
Suggested retail pricing on these boots starts at $200.
I somehow never realized that the Mechanix Wear company was making shooting sports gloves now.
I stopped in the booth and instantly was drawn to the Mechanix Wear Specialty Vent Covert gloves.
I am not a huge fan of shooting gloves because they tend to make my hands sweat.
Mechanix Wear solved that with these Specialty Vent Covert gloves.
These gloves provide evaporative cooling with a fully ventilated design.
Breathable mesh combines with a perforated 0.6mm palm to allow cool air in and circulate throughout the glove.
The Specialty Vent Covert shooting gloves feature perforated trigger fingers and work with touchscreens like tablets and phones.
No pulling them on and off to reset your chronograph or answer a phone call.
Dead Air Silencers Sandman X
This list wouldnt be complete without a suppressor in the mix.
The can that stood out to me was the new Dead Air Silencers Sandman X.
It incorporates an intricate 3D-printed baffle system that is stronger and lighter than most suppressors in its class.
The Sandman X starts at $999.
2025 is shaping up to be one amazing year if you are a firearms enthusiast like me.
I know I cant wait to see what other incredible products come out in the next few months.
