Ill snack on Smuckers Uncrustables because they taste good and they dont go bad.
I eat a TON of jerky and snack sticks for that exact reason.
Ill bring almonds and lightweight peanut butter packages to eat as Im hiking.
One of my biggest realizations was that I really needed to bring food that got me excited.
Salt and vinegar chips get me excited, and Ill eat them.
That pie lasts me a long time, and I look forward to every slice of cold pizza.
Thats certainly one advantage of hunting in states where temps are cold and your backpack is your refrigerator.
When youre hiking hard, its so important to eat and drink the appropriate amount.
Not all hunts are that trying or hard, though.
It all just depends on where you are and how remote of a hunt youre on.
