This video is the third of the series.
Within these segments, Yam touches on polishing, fitting and more.
Next up, he addresses polishing the internals of the pistol to ensure proper functioning and feeding of ammunition.
In this video, Yam dives into polishing and prepping the major parts of the 1911.
This is because once you remove metal, there is nothing you might easily do to put it back.
The next step Yam touches on addresses the chamber of the pistols barrel.
He also points out that you should gently drop the reamer in, with no pushing down on it.
Yam is shown here taking the edge off the disconnector rail’s forward, lower face.
It rarely happens, but is an easy fix to address something that could become an issue.
