The caliber I went with for this gun was the 6.5 Creedmoor.
I paired the rifle with the Vortex LHT 5-818 scope, which was a great fit.
I had zero issues with loading and unloading, and the enlarged ejection port kept the shell ejecting reliably.
Weight restrictions, enviable accuracy and ruggedness are three good reasons to pick the Springfield Waypoint rifle for an Alaskan excursion.

A skilled shooter can achieve 0.75 MOA or better with quality ammunition in the Waypoint.
The low weight of the Waypoint makes it a great choice when you are having to pack it over long distances.
Is it the perfect Alaskan rifle? The Waypoint makes a strong case for that leadership role.
