A LPVO, like the EOTech VUDU, can make a lot of sense for many AR owners. It offers the benefits of a non-magnified optic on the low end, but it still allows you to accurately reach out to long distances.
The VUDU scope has easy-to-use illumination controls with a push on arrangement and 10 different brightness levels.
EOTech incorporated a two-hour automatic shutoff function, which helps preserve battery life.
This glass quality is consistent across all of the EOTech glass Ive worked with.
Mounted to the SAINT Edge, the EOTech VUDU scope performed well. It maintained zero, offered a bright sight picture and allowed for rapid transitions across multiple distances.
The 34mm tube mounted beautifully within the American Defense Manufacturing mount I was using.
EOTECH offers a number of reticle options for the VUDU scope. The SR-4 reticle is shown above.
Compared to a red dot, a LPVO can improve your accuracy at 100 yards or longer. This may not make a big difference for a homeowner but could be a real advantage for a rancher or police officer.
The author found the 1 MOA center aiming dot provided a clean sight picture with good downrange visibility.
Making adjustments to the scope was easy. Once dialed in, the scope was solid with no problems.
The author used a scope mount from American Defense Manufacturing. It provided a solid base for the Vudu.
