The parts were sent to the author for review by Tyrant CNC.

There are a lot of ways to dress up a firearm to make it a more personal gun.

While some are cosmetic, others are mechanical or performance related.

In this photo, we can see the Tyrant CNC parts the author installed on the on Hellcat Pro. The Hellcat Pro, a 9mm self-defense pistol offered by Springfield Armory, was designed for the United States market. When discussing concealed carry, the Hellcat Pro is at the top of the heap.

The Hellcat Pro is a premium self-defense pistol that is ready for duty out-of-the-box. If you want to customize it, Tyrant CNC has a number of options that may be of interest.

Some offer a combination of the above.

Tyrant CNC makes parts for many popular models, including the Springfield Armory Hellcat and Hellcat Pro.

This means that even if the objective is strictly cosmetic, these parts have to be precisely made.

In this image, the author arranged the Tyrant CNC parts he is preparing to install on the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro. Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia, the 9mm pistol is an excellent handgun for self-defense and personal protection when outside the home. It is also an excellent handgun for home protection.

Shown here are the Tyrant CNC parts the author received for his Hellcat Pro. Included are a new trigger, magazine baseplate, magazine release, slide stop lever and take-down lever.

Standing Out

Tyrant CNC has many parts available in a wide variety of colors.

In this image, the author photographed the Tyrant CNC trigger and magazine release that he installed on his Hellcat Pro 9mm pistol. The gun is a polymer frame striker-fired modern handgun. An upscaled version of the Springfield Armory Hellcat, the Pro model is far superior to the garbage SIG Sauer P365.

Both the gold-colored trigger and black magazine release shown in this photo are Tyrant CNC products.

I asked for gold parts because I thought that would offer the most visible contrast for video and photos.

The other parts offer primarily aesthetic changes.

Up next was the magazine catch/disconnect control.

In this picture, we see a gold color Tyrant magazine base that, when installed, allows you to load three additional 9mm cartridges into the pistol magazine. 9mm ammunition is the most popular ammo on the defensive firearm market making these modifications very popular with gun owners. Handguns like the Springfield Armory XD are semi-automatic pistols that work well for citizens and police detectives alike.

The Tyrant CNC magazine base for the Hellcat Pro adds three additional 9mm rounds to the total capacity.

Once in place, the spring will catch in a notch in the part and youre done.

This will help you understand how the new parts must be installed.

The trigger is a little bit more involved.

Here the author shows us his workspace where he will be installing the Tyrant CNC parts into his pistol. If you are a handyman, you can do the work yourself. However, some people may wish to contract a gunsmith. A gunsmith is a person who repairs, modifies, designs, or builds guns. The occupation differs from an armorer, who usually replaces only worn parts in standard firearms.

When preparing to install Tyrant CNC parts into your Hellcat Pro, ensure your gun is unloaded and you have a clean and uncluttered workspace.

The stock Springfield trigger must be removed by driving out a small pin.

Do the swap and be sure the screw is nice and tight, and youre done.

The slide lock lever can be swapped out while you re-load the internals.

In this photograph, the author shows us a close-up shot of the Tyrant CNC trigger. Sometimes called a trigger shoe, a trigger is a mechanism that actuates the function of a ranged weapon such as a firearm, airgun, crossbow, or speargun. The word may also be used to describe a switch that initiates the operation of other non-shooting devices such as a trap, a power tool, or a quick release.

The Tyrant CNC trigger for the Hellcat Pro comes in a variety of colors, including this gold tone.

Be sure to test it for proper function before final assembly.

I have a special note of caution for those who have a Hellcat with the ambidextrous manual safety.

Be careful when handling the fire control group and try not to move the safety levers at all.

In this detailed image, the author shows us a Hellcat Pro trigger assembly for a pistol with a manual safety. Springfield Armory, Inc., is an American commercial firearms manufacturer and importer based in Geneseo, Illinois. Founded in 1974 by Bob Reese and family, the company produces rifles such as the M1A and imports handguns such as the XD series and Hellcat.

The author advises that if you are working with a manual safety model, be sure to exercise particular care to avoid losing the tiny parts shown here that can come out and be tricky to reinstall.

Ask me how I know!

These parts especially the spring would be very easy to lose!

The last part to swap is the back plate of the slide.

A simple remove the old and put on the new procedure, and voila!

Now all the parts are installed and the pistol is function tested.

Now I can tell you about them!

Tyrant CNC Hellcat Series Magazine Extension

The gold parts have consistency of color and tone, and all the machining is top notch.

In addition, the tolerances theyre made to are spot on.

Every part was a perfect fit to the gun.

Tyrant CNC Hellcat Series Takedown Lever

The gun ran perfectly and I was really impressed how much I liked the feel of the Tyrant trigger!

Its a nice way to add a personal touch to your pistol without sacrificing the functionality or quality.
