The fore-stock includes a forward-mounted sling loop.
To create a full-length top rail we chose VLTORs CASV-14 upper handguard assembly ($325.95).

It provides corrosion protection in excess 1,000 hours of salt-spray exposure that exceeds the ASTM-B-117 standard.
Its the perfect finish for load-bearing and moving parts, and carries a lifetime warranty.
The cost for all of the Poly-T2 and NP3 finishing described above was $580.
The six-position VLTOR stock provides adaptability and a proper cheek weld for use with optics. The buffer tube it rides on (also adjustable for height) and its associated hardware have all been NP3 coated by ROBAR.
Polymax is a spray-on finish that does not need to be baked like Poly-T2 does.
Total cost for Polymax finishing: $230.
(We also had ROBAR apply the same non-slip texturing to the Springfield Armory factory stock).
The aluminum fixture that serves as an attachment point for the stock and grip on the VLTOR M1-S chassis has been Poly T2-coated, while the stock, grip and buttstock have been treated to Polymax. Just like our ROBAR-ized G21, the VLTOR grip is treated to ROBAR’s grip texturing.
As usual, we were very pleased with our overall experience with ROBAR.

The VLTOR CASV-14 upper handguard features a full- length top and offers multiple mounting points for Picatinny rails. Aimpoint optic is coated in Polymax.
Due to its lubricity and superior wear characteristics, ROBAR’s electroless-nickle NP3 coating was chosen for all moving parts. Tan colored Poly-T2 was used on the receiver, top rail and barrel.
High-wear and rust-prone areas like the gas cylinder and muzzle brake were also treated to ROBAR’s bulletproof NP3 coating.
To show readers a ROBAR option for their factory M1A stock, we had them apply their Grip Texture process to the pistol grip and forend.
While we were at it, we had ROBAR coat our factory Scout Squad forward-optics mount in tan Poly-T2. The mounting-screws, along with any metal hardware on the stock, were treated to NP3.
