A New Option
A while back I got in contact with AlumaGrips, and we started talking.
The “Build a Grip” feature from AlumaGrips allows you to design your own 1911 grips in aluminum.
I quickly learned that they have a neat feature on their site called Build a Grip.
I was hooked right off the bat.
Color, pattern, checkering depth; everything is there.
The orange icons that pop up give you even more customizable options.
Be sure to spend a little time looking at the options.
When you see little orange icons, you’re able to hit them to see additional options.
I was even able to have my companys logo laser etched on to the grips.

How about we talk about quality and feel?
I had ordered two sets one in clear aluminum and the other in black.
All the checkering was even.
Dan ordered custom AlumaGrips in black (left) and clear aluminum (right). They areeasy to install using this guide.
The laser etching was sharp and crisp.
The clear aluminum grips were a little harder to read as theres just not a lot of contrast.
The black was very clear and easy to read.
The AlumaGrips added a nice touch to Dan’s Springfield Armory TRP 10mm pistol.
I would imagine the olive-gray option would have good contrast as well.
During the build process, I found my interaction with this company to be very pleasant.
Side note, take a look at theTRP Operator reviewthat Yamil Sued wrote.
